I can remember tracking this in Ian's parent's basement. We were cutting it close to finishing the tracks before the due date. These had to be done so this split could be released for our European tour in April / May of 2002. We got to Europe several weeks later, met our new friends in Ransom and got our copies of the split. We excitedly put it on, and then heard that Ransom had recorded in a pro studio and their songs sounded huge compared to ours. Ian did a hell of job considering he was just getting started with recording, but no one had told us what we were putting our songs next to.

While these songs are ok, my vocals had become pretty horrible by this point, and it wasn't until later in the year after some line up changes and some vocal coaching that things got better for our final recordings (see: One Last Shot and Salut - 2003). I wish I had gotten to that sooner and this recording may be listenable now.

Matt.
